Tree Identification Walk in Chris Gibson Park

Explore Your Neighbourhood
Meet your neighbours and explore nature in your community! Staff from CVC’s Natural Heritage team will guide you along the walk, teaching tips and tricks on how to identify trees. Learn to use books, apps and other simple tools to improve your skills and knowledge while enjoying fall colours with your neighbours. Each household will receive a free Tree Leaf Biodiversity ID Sheet, while supplies last.

This event is made possible by partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation and TD Bank and is part of the Fletchers Creek Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan (SNAP).
Event Notes
- Light refreshments will be served. Please bring your own reusable mug and reusable container to help us reduce waste and take snacks home with you.
- The walk will take place on paved pathways and sidewalks. Some surfaces may be uneven and grassy.
- Please dress for the weather and bring a water bottle.
- Washrooms may not be available.
- If unaccompanied by an adult, participants under 18 please bring a signed copy of our event waiver.
- Participants over 18 please read and acknowledge the event waiver.
