Trail Status
- While construction of the linear works for the Erin Wastewater System Project and restoration is ongoing, the trail will be closed to the public. Sections of the trail are now closed for approximately 22 months lasting until June 2025. The CVC-owned portion of the ECT between 6th Line and Trafalgar Road in Hillsburgh and the portion between 10th Line, Erin Village to Cataract Road, Town of Caledon will remain open during construction. - After October 29th, admission must be purchased online. Admission tickets can be purchased here.
Trail Status
- Trails may be icy in some areas. Proper shoes and aids such as crampons are recommended.
Facilities
- Washroom facilities are available in parking lot P1.
Activities
- Shoreline fishing permitted from the southern shore only; no fishing from any bridges.
- The lake is closed for watercraft use for the season.
- 2024 picnic reservations will be available February 1st.
Sales and Rentals
- Equipment rentals are finished for the season.
Parking
- Only pedestrian access to the Lakeside Trail is available at 4th Avenue in Orangeville. The Home Hardware parking lot is closed indefinitely for trail users. Vehicles will be towed.

- Caledon Trailway parking remains open for trailway use only; no access to Ken Whillans Resource Management Area is permitted.

Sales and Rentals
- Watercraft rentals are closed for the season.
Activities
- The lake is closed for watercraft use for the season. Shoreline fishing is permitted.

Park Status
- Please consider visiting on weekdays or early mornings/late afternoons on weekends and holidays.
- Please stay off the arch at the mill ruins; the infrastructure is not suitable or safe for people to stand on.

Trail Closure
- Hazard tree work is currently in progress. There will be a possibility of isolated trail closures for the week of November 27 to December 1.
Trail Status
- Region of Peel construction work on the new pump station at the Silver Birch entrance is currently underway. The trail access from Silver Birch is closed to the public. Please use an alternate access to the conservation area. For inquiries about this project, please contact the Region of Peel at [email protected].

- As of Monday October 30th, washroom facilities will only be open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM. An accessible portalet will be available in Parking Lot P1 during daylight hours, 7 days a week, when the park is open for November and December.
