Trail Status

  • While construction of the linear works for the Erin Wastewater System Project and restoration is ongoing, the trail will be closed to the public. Sections of the trail are now closed for approximately 22 months lasting until June 2025. The CVC-owned portion of the ECT between 6th Line and Trafalgar Road in Hillsburgh and the portion between 10th Line, Erin Village to Cataract Road, Town of Caledon will remain open during construction.   • Boating is not available at this time. Please check back daily.
  • Shoreline fishing is available.
  • Hiking is available.
  • Snowshoeing, fat tire biking and skating are closed.

Sales and Rentals

  • Minnows are unavailable at the rental shop.
  • Fat Tire Bike rentals are currently unavailable due to icy trail conditions.
  • Ice Huts are not available for the remainder of the season.
  • 2024 picnic reservations are now available to book. Available dates range from May 4 – October 27, 2024. Reservations can be made here

Trail Status

  • Trails are bare, wet or icy in shaded locations. Proper footwear and aids such as crampons are recommended.

Parking

  • Parking Lot P1 is currently closed for grading.
  • The Home Hardware parking lot is closed indefinitely for trail users. Vehicles will be towed.
  • Parking Lots P3 and P4 are open.

  • Maple Syrup from the Sugarhouse by Laurie Lazzaro Knowlton is currently on display.

Park Status

  • Please consider visiting on weekdays or early mornings/late afternoons on weekends and holidays. 
  • Please stay off the arch at the mill ruins; the infrastructure is not suitable or safe for people to stand on.

Trail Status

  • The winter closure of the Bruce Trail between the parking lot Link Trail and Hole-in-the-Wall feature will be in effect beginning December 22. Please see the available trails at the map below.

  • Region of Peel construction work on the new pump station at the Silver Birch entrance is currently underway. The trail access from Silver Birch is closed to the public. Please use an alternate access to the conservation area. For inquiries about this project, please contact the Region of Peel at [email protected].

Trail Closure from January 5th to March 31st, 2024

Bruce Trail Users

Access to the Bruce Trail is closed at the west entry at 10th Line of Terra Cotta Conservation Area where the main trail meets the Terra Cotta Side Trail to the East and the Credit Valley Footpath to the West. There are no reroutes for this section of the trail, you will need to turn back. Terra Cotta Conservation Area will not be accessible at the 10th Line entrance. The closure is expected to take place from January 5th to March 31st, 2024 to accommodate the construction of a new bridge at this site.

Terra Cotta CA Visitors

The Graydon Trail between stations 20 and 21 is closed from January 5th to March 31st, 2024 to accommodate the construction of a new bridge at this site. There are no reroutes for this section of the trail, you will need to turn back. Terra Cotta Conservation Area will not be accessible at the 10th Line entrance.

      • VIP Tours of Maple Syrup in the Park:  Get the ultimate experience with a gourmet breakfast, tour of the sugarbush and everything else the festival has to offer. Available March 17th, 23rd, and 24th.
      • Sugarbush Wagon Rides:  Great for kids ages 12 and under to explore the sugarbush after a fun wagon ride on Terra Cotta Lane! Join us on April 13th.
    • More Fun Experiences: cvc.ca/mapleseason
      • Lamplight – Maple Syrup After Dark: Enjoy live music and maple-themed food and drink in the illuminated sugarbush!  Join us April 6th.
      • Sap to Syrup – A Maple Syrup Making Experience: Make your own bottle of maple syrup in the sugar shack! Join us April 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th.

Admission Notice: March 14th – 17th and 23rd & 24th

  • From 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM on March 14th – 17th and 23rd & 24th.  Admission fees for Maple Syrup in the Park apply. Regular day use admission fees will resume from 4 PM – 5:30 PM each day. Visitors with a Credit Valley Parks Pass will still receive free admission.

Facilities

  • The Bruce Trail Rest Site is closed from January 2nd-March 31st due to a trail closure.
