Trail Status
- While construction of the linear works for the Erin Wastewater System Project and restoration is ongoing, the trail will be closed to the public. Sections of the trail are now closed until approximately September 2027. The CVC-owned portion of the ECT between 6th Line and Trafalgar Road in Hillsburgh and the portion between 10th Line, Erin Village to Cataract Road, Town of Caledon will remain open during construction. For more information on project timelines and construction updates, visit the Town of Erin’s Wastewater System Project webpage at erinwastewater.ca.

Sales and Rentals
- Paddlecraft rentals are available online here.
- It is recommended to make a reservation in advance for weekends.
- Walk-in Paddlecraft rentals are available, weather permitting.
- Picnic facility rentals are available. Reservations can be made here.
Station 1-3 on the Lakeside Trail is Closed until September 4th, 2026
- We are working on improvements to the park. Station 1 – 3 on the Vicki Barron Lakeside Trail (orange trail on the map) will be closed for boardwalk replacement from Monday, February 23rd to Friday September 4th, 2026. Trail access at 4th Avenue and Hwy 10 will remain open for visitors.Â
- The Vicki Barron Lakeside Trail will not be a loop trail during this closure and you will have to retrace your steps to get back to the place you started from. Please plan accordingly.Â

- Trails are wet and muddy in some sections. Proper footwear is recommended.
Activities
- Fishing is open.
- Panfish, Northern Pike and Bass are in season.
- Bass is catch and release only.
- Panfish, Northern Pike and Bass are in season.
- Live bait from outside the conservation area is not permitted.
- Electric trolling motor boats permitted. No gas motors.

Island Lake Bass Derby
- The 16th Annual Bass Fishing Derby will be taking place from July 11 to 12, 2026.
- Registration is now open with early bird pricing available until July 2nd.

Parking
- Parking is only available at Marie Curtis Park, located at 2 Forty Second St., Etobicoke.
- There is no parking at the conservation area.
- Visitors must enter and exit through Marie Curtis Park.
Activities
- Cycling and hiking from the accessible Waterfront Trail or hiking and birdwatching from smaller paved trails and boardwalks.
- Please note that swimming, fishing, and other water activities are not permitted.
Park Status
Line painting on the trails has concluded at Jim Tovey Lakeview Conservation Area. The park is now open as of Saturday June 27th at 8:00am.

- Canoe and fishing kayak rentals are available online here.
- It is recommended to make a reservation in advance for weekends.
- Kayaks and one stand up paddleboard are available for rent through Paddle On Demand and the Share Kayak app.
- Because of cellular reception at Ken Whillans, it is recommended to download the Share Kayak app before arriving at the park.

- Region of Peel construction work on the new pump station at the Silver Birch entrance is currently underway. The trail access from Silver Birch (Station 15 on the map) is closed to the public. Park Hours
- The gatehouse will be open from 8 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Tickets can be purchased online or on site during this time. From 7:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. online payment is required. Visit cvcparks.ca to purchase admission online.Â
- Ticket are available for purchase on site all day Friday – Sunday.Â
- Admission is prohibited 30 minutes before the posted closing time.Â
