  • Thursday, January 8 at 8:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m

  1. Please drive up to the right side of the building following signage to our drop-off area. A CVC staff member will be there to help offload your tree.
  2. Ensure all ornaments, tinsel, and plastic are removed from the tree. We cannot accept any trees that have been sprayed with fake snow or other chemicals.
  3. We will only accept tree donations during the scheduled dates and times. There is no public access to this area outside of those times.
  4. In the event we reach our goal number of trees, this event may be updated to cancel some of the later dates.

The Gift that Keeps on Giving

We collect old Christmas trees because they’re a biodegradable, effective material for stream restoration work. Once placed along riverbanks, their branches trap sediment to help rebuild and narrow channels, making the water deeper and cooler. This improves habitat for sensitive species like brook trout and allows native plants to grow, helping restore the natural health of the watershed.

This event is subject to change or cancellation due to inclement weather. Please check Park Advisories for updates to stay current on event changes or cancellations.
