CVC’s Research Colloquium
December 5, 2025 @ 8:30 am - 4:15 pm
Registration to attend the Research Colloquium is now closed.
Connect Knowledge with Action
CVC hosts a Research Colloquium every two years, with the theme Connecting Knowledge with Action. We invite students, professors, and environmental professionals to join us to share and learn about the research that is being carried out in the Credit River Watershed.
This event is co-hosted by the Centre for Urban Environments, University of Toronto Mississauga.
Our aim is to facilitate:
- The incorporation of findings from research in our jurisdiction into CVC’s work
- Networking and mentoring
- Building and strengthening of collaborations
- Opportunities for direct feedback from applied practitioners to researchers
We welcome attendance from all members of our research community. The event is an opportunity to learn more about the watershed and what is happening in it. The program includes presentations from both external researchers and CVC staff, as well as opportunities for networking.
Past colloquiums have included broad themes such as:
- Urban Aquatic Ecology
- Biodiversity and Invasive Species
- Urbanization and Climate Change and Landscape Ecology
However, we are open to presentations on all topics related to research within the Credit River Watershed.
