Cooksville Park Community Clean up

April 14 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Get Involved

Join CVC, Heart Comonos and the Cooksville Community Hub to help make the Cooksville SNAP neighbourhood more sustainable and ready for a changing climate. This event is part of Cooksville Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan (SNAP).

Together, we will help keep Cooksville and Richard Jones Parks clean and green. Participants will help collect litter to create a healthy green space in the community just in time for spring. Starting in Cooksville Park, part of the group will head to Richard Jones Park to clean up the greenspaces along our way. The walk from Cooksville Park to Richard Jones Park is approximately 10 minutes.

Removing litter helps protect our wildlife and prevents plastic and other pollutants from entering our local rivers and streams. Litter pickers, garbage bags, and gloves will be provided.

Meet us at Cooksville Park, Frayne Court entrance. Parking is available along Frayne Court or in one of the neighbouring parking lots next to the park. Please pay attention to road signs.

What to Wear

  • This is a rain-or-shine event. Please dress for the weather.

What to Bring

  • Your own reusable water bottle (we have water to refill from)
