Butterfly Blitz Kick-off Training and Hike

Participate in the Fifth annual Butterfly Blitz
Join Credit Valley Conservation’s Butterfly Blitz team for a guided butterfly hike and optional training. Optional training will include how to identify butterflies, how to use iNaturalist, ebutterfly or other helpful tips for your adventures ahead!
During this event we will explore Terra Cotta Conservation Area and learn about butterflies together. This is a great opportunity to learn about our Butterfly Blitz program and add observations to the iNaturalist project!
Everyone is welcome to attend. Admission to the park is free for event participants. The event runs until 12:30 p.m. If you would like, please bring a lunch, a light snack will be provided.
Please meet at the Outdoor Education Centre.
For your own safety, please dress for the weather, wear long pants, socks and closed-toed shoes.
What to Bring
- Your own refillable water bottle (we can provide water)
- Sunscreen and bug spray, a hat and cell phone
- Butterfly net and field guide, if you have one
