Belfountain by Night
- Explore Belfountain Conservation Area After Dark!
- October 17 and October 24, explore the “Belle” Fountain, suspension bridge and other features in the heritage area – illuminated under the night sky.
- This event is by reservation only, 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. We recommend arriving between 7:00 and 7:30 p.m. Reservations can be made here, up to two weeks in advance.

Long Term Trail Closure
- While construction of the linear works for the Erin Wastewater System Project and restoration is ongoing, the trail will be open to the public. Sections of the trail are now closed until approximately September 2027. The CVC-owned portion of the ECT between 6th Line and Trafalgar Road in Hillsburgh and the portion between Main Street, Erin Village to Cataract Road, Town of Caledon will remain open during construction. Parking
- Parking lot 4 and parking lot 2 will be closed to the public on October 1 for an event.
- Please check here for updates.
Station 1-3 on the Lakeside Trail is closed until mid December 2026.
- We are working on improvements to the park. Station 1 – 3 on the Vicki Barron Lakeside Trail (orange trail on the map) will be closed for boardwalk replacement until mid-December 2026. Trail access at 4th Avenue and Hwy 10 will remain open for visitors.
- The Vicki Barron Lakeside Trail will not be a loop trail during this closure and you will have to retrace your steps to get back to the place you started from. Please plan accordingly.
- Note this closure has been extended due to required project design changes.

- It is recommended to make a reservation in advance for weekends.

- Picnic facility rentals are available. Reservations can be made here.

Please note that the two climbing logs at the natural playground have been closed for the season.

Parking
- Parking is only available at Marie Curtis Park located at 2 Forty Second St., Etobicoke.
- There is no parking at the conservation area.
- Visitors must enter and exit through Marie Curtis Park.
Activities
- Cycling and hiking from the accessible Waterfront Trail; hiking and birdwatching from smaller paved trails and boardwalks.
- Please note that swimming, fishing, and other water activities are not permitted.

Park Hours Change
- Tuesday, September 8 to Sunday, October 25, 2026 hours:
- Monday to Thursday open during daylight hours only, online payment required.
- Friday to Sunday and holidays open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Park store and rentals will be open Friday, Saturdays and Sundays. Paddle Pod rentals are open daily and personal boats are permitted during operating hours.
- Washrooms open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

- Walk-in canoe and fishing kayak rentals are available, weather permitting on Friday, Saturday and Sunday only.
- The last available rental time is 4:30p.m.
- Canoe and fishing kayak rentals are available online here.
- It is recommended to make a reservation in advance for weekends.
- Kayaks and one stand up paddleboard are available for rent through Paddle On Demand and the Share Kayak app.
- Because of cellular reception at Ken Whillans, it is recommended to download the Share Kayak app before arriving at the park.

- Please stay off the arch at the mill ruins; the infrastructure is not suitable or safe for people to stand on.

Trail Status
- Trails are muddy in sections and washouts are present. Repairs are underway.
- Region of Peel construction work on the new pump station at the Silver Birch entrance is currently underway. The trail access from Silver Birch (Station 15 on the map) is closed to the public. Please use an alternate access to the conservation area. For inquiries about this project, please contact the Region of Peel at [email protected].

Admission Notice

- The gatehouse will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Thursday. Tickets can be purchased on site during this time. From 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. online payment is required. No entry 30 minutes before close.

Fall Wagon Rides
- Enjoy a scenic group wagon ride through Terra Cotta Conservation Area’s fall colours.
- Wagon rides are by group reservation only. You can include up to 20 people per reservation for your wagon ride. Admission fees (online or in person) or a Credit Valley Parks Pass is required.
- Dates and times available on weekends and holidays between September 27 and October 18. Slots are available from 11 a.m. to noon and 3 to 4 p.m.
