Youth Event 2: Silver Creek Restoration Project at Cedarvale Park

Help us Restore Native Habitat for Wildlife
Join our staff to restore Silver Creek, increase biodiversity and tree canopy to improve freshwater habitat for Redside Dace, a provincially and nationally endangered fish. Learn and gain appreciation through hands-on environmental projects to enhance this green corridor within the Greenbelt.
Location: Cedarvale Park, 181 Main St S, Georgetown, ON L7G 5S2. Meet us in the parking lot.
What to Wear:
- For your own safety, wear a hat, long pants, long socks (to tuck your pants into) and closed-toed shoes.
- Dress in layers.
- This is a rain-or-shine event. Please dress for the weather.
What to Bring:
- Your own reusable water bottle (we have water to refill from).
- Sunscreen and bug spray.
Additional Information:
- Stay home if you are feeling sick.
- Registration is recommended. Register for this event by October 10 at noon.
- Washroom amenities may not be available.
- Volunteers under 18 please bring a signed copy of our waiver, or bring your parent/guardian to sign you in at the event.
- Volunteers over 18 please read the event waiver. You will sign this at the event.
