Learn About Proposed Changes to Orangeville’s Drinking Water System
The Credit Valley Source Protection Authority invites public comment on proposed amendments to the Credit Valley - Toronto and Region - Central Lake Ontario (CTC) Source Protection Plan and Credit Valley Assessment Report, to reflect the addition of a new well to the Town of Orangeville’s drinking water system.
The new well is being added to the Orangeville Drinking Water System to meet current demands and support future growth. The proposed amendment includes updated water budget, risk assessment, wellhead protection areas and threat enumeration. The Clean Water Act, 2006, requires consultation with all landowners, municipalities and other implementing agencies that may be impacted by such amendments.
The proposed amendments are available for review at: ctcswp.ca/PublicConsultation. Hardcopy versions are available upon request at Credit Valley Conservation, during regular business hours.
