Pollinator Gardening for Small Spaces
April 23 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Designing Native Habitats in Compact Areas
Looking to include more gardening in your life but don’t know where to start? Join CVC and Blooming Boulevards in an interactive design workshop where you can learn how to design thriving native pollinator gardens in containers and small spaces.
Join us at Halo Espresso Bar for a creative design workshop led by Jeanne from Blooming Boulevards and Melissa from CVC’s Sustainable Landscaping team. Together they will share expertise on pollinator gardens, native planting, and practical urban gardening.
Participants will learn the basics of garden design and learn about native plants and how they can thrive in containers, balconies, and compact spaces. You will learn practical tips about:
- Choosing native plants that thrive in containers
- Designing for sun and shade conditions
- Supporting pollinators like bees and butterflies in urban spaces
- Soil, container size, and maintenance basics
- How to combine plants for beauty and biodiversity
Whether you are new to gardening or already experimenting with plants on a balcony or patio, this workshop will give you practical tools and inspiration to grow more nature where you live.
This event is part of the Cooksville Sustainable Actions Neighbourhood Plan (SNAP) and everyone is welcome to join, whether you live, work or play in Cooksville.
