Cooksville SNAP Fall Walk

Enjoy a Morning Walk Through Hancock Woodlands Park
Join the Cooksville SNAP team and special guest expert for a guided morning walk through Hancock Woodlands to explore local nature. Discover areas for bird watching, learn about the health of local natural areas, and learn tips and tricks to identify local trees.
This event is part of the Cooksville Sustainable Actions Neighborhood Plan (SNAP) and is intended for residents of the Cooksville SNAP Neighbourhood.
What to Expect
- Learn about local trees, wildlife and the health of local natural areas.
- Enjoy informative talks by CVC staff through the park surrounded by natural heritage and the urban forest.
- Please wear a comfortable pair of walking shoes, long pants, and weather-appropriate attire. Bring a hat, sunglasses and a water bottle.
- FREE $10 Grocery gift card per household, while supplies last.
- The walk will begin and end at the Camilla Rd. entrance to Hancock Woodlands Park. Meet at the back of the parking lot here.
- Light refreshments will be served at the end of the walk. Please bring your own reusable water bottle.
- The walk will take place on paved pathways and sidewalks. Some surfaces may be uneven and grassy.
- Washrooms may not be available.
- Volunteers under 18 please bring a signed copy of our event waiver
- Volunteers over 18 please read and acknowledge the event waiver
Community Bike Ride
We have partnered with the City of Mississauga to add a new feature to this event: an optional Community Bike Ride to and from the Cooksville SNAP Fall Nature Walk. Register now.
