Natural and Enhanced Asset Lifecycle and Replacement Costing (2025)

CVC retained Dougan Ecology, Grounded Solutions, and Green Analytics to develop reasonable and defensible lifecycle and replacement cost estimates for the creation, restoration or rehabilitation and long-term management of selected natural assets. This version is an update to the Life Cycle Costing of Restoration and Environmental Management Actions (2020) with updated methodology and expansion of natural asset types included for costing.

Credit Valley Conservation Integrated Watershed Restoration Strategy

Reflecting a systems approach, the Integrated Watershed Restoration Strategy (IWRS) aims through its development and implementation, to adopt an integrated approach to addressing threatened or deteriorated ecosystem features and functions. The IWRS sets out landscape scale priorities for conservation actions; however,decision-making must always factor both site-level and opportunistic considerations (e.g. landowner willingness, specific threats, cost efficiencies, etc).

CVC Sustainable Forest Management Plan (2021-2040)

CVC’s Sustainable Forest Management Plan (SFMP) provides direction for forest management for the next 20 years (2021- 2040), with a review and update scheduled for 2030. The overarching goal of the SFMP is to maintain and restore forest health, improve biodiversity and strengthen the resilience of forests in the watershed – on lands owned by CVC, municipal partners, and private landowners.

Environmental Benefit Index for Wetland Restoration on Private Lands in the Greenbelt Region of Ontario, Canada: Literature Review and Conceptual Framework

The study reviews economic fundamentals of reverse auctions (RAs) and Environmental Benefit Indices (EBIs) used in the USA, Australia, and Canada. The study also recommends a framework for a Greenbelt-specific wetland restoration EBI that includes biological, hydrological, and social benefits.
