Park Status
- The park is closed for the season and will reopen May 2025. No entry is permitted.
Activities
- Trout Fishing is closed for the season in Zone 16 – effective October 1st.
- Fishing will not be permitted at Belfountain for the rest of the operating season.

Trail Status
- While construction of the linear works for the Erin Wastewater System Project and restoration is ongoing, the trail will be closed to the public. Sections of the trail are now closed for approximately 22 months lasting until June 2025. The CVC-owned portion of the ECT between 6th Line and Trafalgar Road in Hillsburgh and the portion between 10th Line, Erin Village to Cataract Road, Town of Caledon will remain open during construction. - Upgrades to existing Town of Erin stormwater infrastructure on the Elora Cataract Trailway will be underway shortly. Sections of the trail between the western limit of the Erin Glen Subdivision and 10th Line will be closed for approximately 6 months from May 27th to November, 2024. In addition, the parking lot located at 235 Daniel Street, Erin will be closed to vehicular parking during this time. The portion of the ECT between Main Street and Erin District High School, and the trailway East of 10th Line will remain open during construction. Online Admission and Park Passes
- Visitors must purchase general admission tickets online seven days a week, and can be purchased here. Reservations are not available.
- Please purchase tickets in advance as reception in some parks makes processing payment difficult.
- An online ticket can be used for any one date between April 27 and December 19, 2024.
- To purchase a ticket, login or create a Credit Valley Parks account. Once logged in, choose Admission from the menu at the top of the page and choose the park you wish to visit.
- Parks passes can be purchased online at cvc.ca/parkspass.
Lake Use Closed
- Lake use is closed for the season; this includes the watercraft storage area and boat launch.
- Shoreline fishing will remain available.
Facilities
- Washrooms: The middle stall flush washroom in parking lot P1 is open. The vault toilet on the north shore of the Vicki Barron Lakeside Trail is open. All other washrooms are closed.
- The accessible washroom button at parking lot P1 is out of service.
- Park Store: Closed for the season.
- Gatehouse: Closed for the season.
Trail Status
- Trail conditions are damp due to rainfall. Proper footwear is recommended.
Activities
- Shoreline fishing permitted from the southern shore only; no fishing from the north shore, any bridges and the Crane Gathering Space.
Winter Programming
- Winter programming will start in the new year when conditions exist.
- Ice fishing, ice huts, skating, snowshoeing.
Sales and Rentals
- Watercraft rentals are closed for the season.
Tales on the Trail
- ‘Young Artist Showcase’ is currently on display.

- Lake use is closed; this includes the boat launch.
- Shoreline fishing will remain available.

- Please stay off the arch at the mill ruins; the infrastructure is not suitable or safe for people to stand on.

- Region of Peel construction work on the new pump station at the Silver Birch entrance is currently underway. The trail access from Silver Birch (Station 15 on the map) is closed to the public.
