The Credit Valley Conservation Foundation Board of Directors has been actively monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation and public health efforts to contain the virus.
In light of the recent announcement by the Ontario Chief Medical Officer of Health, curbing events and mass gatherings, the Board has decided to reschedule the 15th Anniversary Conservation Gala.
The event, previously scheduled for Thursday May 7, 2020 has been moved to Thursday October 1, 2020 from 6-10 p.m. at the Mississauga Convention Centre.
“The health and safety of our guests, sponsors, vendors, staff, and volunteers is of the utmost importance.” says Terri LeRoux, Executive Director, Credit Valley Conservation Foundation. “These remarkable individuals, who make our events so special, should not have to choose between public health advice and their commitment to the local environment.”
Questions about the 15th Anniversary Conservation Gala can be directed to Celeste Longhurst, Acting Program Manager for CVC Foundation at 416-728-1358 or [email protected].
Now in its 15th year, the Conservation Gala is a signature environmental networking and fundraising event in support of local and regional conservation initiatives in the Credit River Watershed. Since its inception in 2006, the Gala has raised and invested over $2.5 million in projects that protect and enhance the local environment for present and future generations.
Generously supported by corporate and individual sponsors and guests, proceeds from the event go toward Credit Valley Conservation programs, including the Conservation Youth Corps program, the Credit Valley Trail initiative and securing land for environmental preservation. More information is available at www.conservationgala.ca.
