Credit Valley Conservation announces closure of all offices and buildings to the public

In light of COVID-19, Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) announces the closure of all administration offices and buildings to the public effective 7 p.m., March 18, 2020 until further notice. Service delivery will continue over telephone, through email and by other technology solutions.

“There’s no question that COVID-19 is having substantial impact on our lives, operations and the way we interact with one another,” said Deborah Martin-Downs, Chief Administrative Officer. “We are taking steps to protect our visitors and staff. Our aim is to reduce risk while ensuring we best serve the needs of our many partners and patrons.”

The closures affect all visitors to the administration office at 1255 Old Derry Road, Mississauga and the Warwick Conservation Centre, 15526 Heart Lake Rd, Caledon. All regular telephone services and 24-hour flood forecasting and warning services remain open and active.

CVC conservation parks and trails remain open for passive recreational use. All buildings within CVC’s parks, including public washrooms, will be closed. Please plan your visit accordingly.

Remember to check the CVC website at cvc.ca for most current information and updates.

Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) is a local conservation authority established by the Ontario government in 1954 to protect, restore and enhance the natural environment of the Credit River Watershed. Our watershed is defined by the area of land where all rainfall, snowmelt and runoff drain into lands and waters flowing into the Credit River. CVC creates connections between people and nature, knowledge and action. We inspire a deep appreciation for the role of nature in keeping people connected, healthy and happy. CVC is a member of Conservation Ontario.
