Youth Event: Silver Creek Restoration Project at Cedarvale Park

Join CVC staff to restore Silver Creek, increase biodiversity and tree canopy to improve freshwater habitat for redside dace, a provincially and nationally endangered fish. Learn and gain appreciation through hands-on environmental projects to enhance this green corridor within the Greenbelt.
Location: Cedarvale Park, 181 Main St S, Georgetown, ON L7G 5S2
Meet us in the parking lot.
What to wear:
- For your own safety, wear a hat, long pants, long socks (to tuck your pants into) and closed-toed shoes.
- Dress in layers.
- This is a rain-or-shine event. Please dress for the weather.
What to bring:
- Your own reusable water bottle (we have water to refill from).
- Sunscreen and bug spray.

- Stay home if you are feeling sick.
- Registration is recommended. Register for this event by October 10 at noon.
- Washroom amenities may not be available.
- Volunteers under 18 please bring a signed copy of our waiver, or bring your parent/guardian to sign you in at the event.
- Volunteers over 18 please read the event waiver. You will sign this at the event.
