Join staff from the City of Brampton's Community Safety and Well-Being Office, the Region of Peel’s Public Works Department, and others for a Neighbourhood Chai and Coffee Night in the Fletchers Creek SNAP neighbourhood!
Why attend? Meet your neighbours, and staff and volunteers from local organizations. Learn about upcoming local events and projects. Together, we will grow local friendships, strengthen our social network and plan local projects and events. You can help guide the planning for future Neighbourhood Chai and Coffee Nights.
Each attendee will receive a $10 FreshCo gift card. Limit one per household while supplies last.

City of Mississauga - Emergency Management
Representatives: Media Hadi & Ben Gallagher
Learn to prepare for emergency situations with the City of Mississauga’s Office of Emergency Management. Pick up a City of Mississauga Emergency Preparedness Guide and a set of reusable bamboo cutlery.
City of Mississauga - Environment
Representatives: LJ Prabaharan, Vasya Jeyakanthan, Heliya Babazadeh-Oleghi & Teresa Chan
Join the City’s Environment Team to learn about the many sustainability and climate change related initiatives happening in Mississauga. Learn how to properly sort your waste and contribute to a green and clean Mississauga.
City of Mississauga - Parks Planning
Representatives: Beata Palka & Taral Shukla
The City of Mississauga is underway with the Improving Cooksville Parks public engagement. As part of the Cooksville Parkland Long-Term Acquisition, the City has been acquiring properties for parkland in the Cooksville area to help address the parkland deficit. The 8 hectares (20 acres) of newly acquired properties will be added to Cooksville Park and Iggy Kaneff Park creating larger, more connected parkland in the Cooksville area.
City of Mississauga - Stormwater
Representatives: Michelle Charbonneau

Ecosource
Representative: Monika Bianco and Allison Covert
Ecosource partners with the City of Mississauga to develop community gardens in public parks, including two in the Cooksville neighbourhood. Participants can enjoy family-friendly, hands-on activities such as paper pot-making, trivia games, and seed giveaways, as well as share what community-based climate actions are important to them.
Region of Peel - Public Works
Representative: Nazreen Subhan
Learn about waste initiatives as well as general information including how to properly use your green bin, what goes in the recycling, leak detection, and pedestrian safety. Come learn more and win some cool giveaways.

• Refreshments will be served. Please bring your own reusable mug and Tupperware.
• Accessibility: The Seniors Room is wheelchair accessible via ramp access from the parking lot.
• There are washrooms on the lower level just outside the Seniors Room door.
• Participants under 18 please bring a signed copy of our event waiver.
• Participants over 18 please read and acknowledge the event waiver.
