Mains Creek Park Community Tree Planting
September 21 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
Help us Restore Native Habitat for Wildlife
Join us to help make the Fletchers Creek SNAP neighbourhood more sustainable and ready for a changing climate. This event is part of Fletchers Creek Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan (SNAP).
Join us as we plant native trees and shrubs in Mains Creek Park. Trees help fight climate change by storing carbon dioxide and providing natural cooling on hot summer days. They also create habitat for local wildlife and add beauty to your community.
Location: Meet us at the entrance to Mains Creek Park off of Vodden Street West. Parking is available on Shallimar Court. Please pay attention to road signs. CVC Staff will help direct you from parking to the site.
What to wear:
- For your own safety, wear a hat, long pants, long socks (to tuck your pants into) and closed-toed shoes.
- This is a rain-or-shine event. Please dress for the weather.
What to bring:
- Your own reusable water bottle (we have water to refill from).
