We have gathered the feedback we received at last year's “Dig into the Action Plan” event and look forward to sharing it with you. Join us to learn about recent updates to the action plan and dive deeper into exciting new climate resilient projects. We encourage you to share your ideas for environmental projects that you want to see more of in your neighbourhood!
Meet Your Neighbours
Help us clean up litter in Dominion Gardens Park, to keep it a healthy and green space in the community. Removing litter helps protect our wildlife and prevents plastic and other pollutants from entering our local rivers and streams. This event is part of the Hungry Hollow Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan (SNAP).
What to Wear:
- For your own safety, wear a hat, long pants, long socks (to tuck your pants into) and closed-toed shoes.
- This is a rain-or-shine event. Please dress for the weather.
What to Bring:
- Your own reusable water bottle (we have water to refill from).
- Sunscreen and bug spray.
Additional Information:
- This is a free event
- Litter pickers, garbage bags, and gloves will be provided.
- Registration is recommended. Register for this event by July 10th at noon.
- Washroom amenities may not be available.
- Light refreshments will be served. Please bring your own reusable mug and reusable container.
- The litter pick will be throughout the park and along the Dominion Gardens Pond. There is a gravel trail but some of the terrain has hills.
- Stay home if you are feeling sick.
