Family Nature Walk

Meet Your Neighbours and Explore Nature in Your Community
CVC’s knowledgeable Education Instructors will guide you along the walk, discovering hidden nature gems together in Chris Gibson Park. You’ll learn about trees, flowers, the animals that call Fletcher’s Creek home and more. Each household will receive a free Zoey and Sassafras chapter book, while supplies last. The Zoey and Sassafras series introduces kids to science concepts and is suitable for a wide range of ages.
Join us and help make the Fletchers Creek SNAP neighbourhood be more sustainable and climate resilient. This event is part of Fletchers Creek Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan (SNAP).
Location: Meet in the parking lot at the corner of Haggert Ave N and Railroad St.

What to Wear
- This is a rain-or-shine event. Please dress for the weather.
What to Bring
- Your own reusable water bottle (we have water to refill from).
- Sunscreen and bug spray.

- Registration is recommended. Register for this event by August 9 at noon.
- Washroom amenities may not be available.
- Light refreshments will be served. Please bring your own reusable mug and reusable container to help us reduce waste and take snacks home with you.
- Accessibility: The walk will take place on paved pathways and sidewalks. Some surfaces may be uneven and grassy.
