Our Actions are Impactful
Spending time in nature helps improve our health and well-being. The environmental health and well-being of the Credit River Watershed is our shared responsibility.
By protecting green spaces, restoring habitats, providing environmental education and empowering communities to act locally, we aim to build a thriving environment for future generations.
Credit Valley Conservation Foundation
Our work is supported by the significant fundraising efforts of the Credit Valley Conservation Foundation (CVCF). Thanks to the generosity of donors, sponsors and supporters like you, we can develop programs and services dedicated to protecting, restoring and managing the natural resources of the Credit River Watershed.
Established in 1964, CVCF exists to inspire people and organizations to donate to support our vision of a thriving environment that protects, connects and sustains us.
Your Generosity Has Impact
As fellow nature lovers, we know you appreciate the environment as much as we do. Your generous support helps to:
- Secure new conservation lands for future protection.
- Train, mentor and inspire youth to be future environmental leaders.
- Develop the 100-kilometre Credit Valley Trail and connect the community to nature, culture and Indigenous heritage along the route.
- Develop and maintain sustainable outdoor recreation opportunities in CVC conservation areas.
The generosity of residents, landowners, community organizations, schools and businesses are crucial in helping us reach our goals and help us protect, restore and manage the Credit River Watershed’s natural resources.
Give Back to Nature
This year you can kick-off the season of giving and support nature in several ways:
- Bid in the Holiday Conservation Auction: The Foundation’s annual online auction runs from November 25 to December 10. Discover highly valued, designer items for those on your gift giving list. Proceeds support conservation initiatives in the Credit River Watershed.
- Donate: Whether it’s big or small, a donation has a great impact on the health of the environment. Consider making a charitable donation online for Giving Tuesday or throughout the holiday season.
- Spread the Word: Encourage family, friends and coworkers to help protect nature through our month-long, end-of-year giving campaign.
- Get Involved: Commit to get involved and support environmental action by participating in our events and volunteer programs in the coming year.
