When paying at the parks, online pre-payment or electronic payment is preferred to reduce touch points. Cash should only be used when there is no other option.

 

Belfountain CA Park Status

  • Closed throughout 2021. No entry.
Cheltenham Badlands Park Status

  • Closed, no entry.
  • Opening postponed until at least June 5,  after the stay-at-home order may be lifted.
Elora Cataract Trailway Park Status

  • OPEN – daylight hours

Activities

  • Horseback riding is not permitted from March 15 to May 31 annually.

COVID-19

  • Visit with members of your household only, those that live alone can visit with one other household.

Island Lake CA

Park Status

Visitors welcome at Park

The park has capacity and visitors are welcome.

 

  • OPEN from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on weekends and 8:00a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekdays. 

Sales and Rentals

  • Worms and water can be purchased at the gatehouse Monday to Friday and at the Park Store on weekends.
  • Maple Products are available online for curbside pick up.
  • Minnows will be available on weekends only.
  • Equipment and watercraft rentals are closed until further notice.

Facilities

  • Park Store is open on weekends only.
  • Pavilions are closed.

Lake Conditions

  • Windy conditions expected use caution. Yellow Flag 

Activities

  • Picnic tables are unavailable. No picnicking or barbecues permitted until further notice.
  • Lake use is open for personal watercraft only. No gas-powered motors are permitted.
  • Northern Pike and panfish seasons are open.  Largemouth Bass season is closed.

Lakeside Trail at Island Lake
  • OPEN from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on weekends and 8:00a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekdays. 
  • Parking lots are busy middays during the weekend, please choose another time or have a back up option to visit as roadside parking is not recommended.

Special Notice

  • Pedestrian access only at 4thAvenue in Orangeville
  • Home Hardware parking lot closed indefinitely for trail users. Vehicles will be towed.

Construction Notice

  • 27 Side Road between Eighth Line and Fallbrook Trail will be closed due to a film production on the following dates: Friday, May 14 (6 a.m.) to Saturday, May 15 (6 a.m.) AND Monday, May 17 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
