CONDITIONS AT A GLANCE
|Island Lake Conservation Area||Park and trails are open during daylight hours for a $5 self-serve fee. Shoreline fishing is available.|
|~ Lakeside Trail||Trail is open with hard packed snow and ice. Take care when using the trail.|
|Terra Cotta Conservation Area||Park and trails are open during daylight hours for a $5 self-serve fee. Main parking lot CLOSED.|
|Belfountain Conservation Area||Closed, opening May 5 2018 for the season.|
|Ken Whillans Conservation Area||Closed, opening April 28 2018 for the season.|
Island Lake is open during daylight hours for a $5 self-serve fee. The boat launch and all rentals will be available April 28th. Please obey all posted signage and take care when using the trail. Trails are open with hard packed snow and patches of ice. For online picnic bookings please visit www.picnics.ca For equipment and boat rentals please visit our CVC store.
Terra Cotta Conservation Area is open during daylight hours for a $5 self-serve fee. Please obey all posted signage and use caution on all trails. Trails are open with hard packed snow and patches of ice. The main parking lot is currently CLOSED due to unsafe surface conditions. Please use gatehouse parking area as an alternative. For online picnic bookings please visit www.picnics.ca
Belfountain Conservation Area is currently CLOSED and will open May 5th, 2018 for the season.
PLEASE NOTE: A new picnic policy at Belfountain Conservation Area is in effect. Day camping is no longer permitted and all 10 picnic tables now have a 30 minute maximum to ensure that all visitors have access to resting areas if needed. When planning your 2018 outings visit Island Lake CA or Terra Cotta CA if you are interested in picnicking for periods longer than 30 minutes.
Ken Whillans RMA will open April 28, 2018 for the season.
Elora Cataract Trailway, Limehouse, Silvercreek, Woollen Mills, Wilcox and Upper Credit Conservation Areas
All trails at Elora Cataract Trailway, Limehouse, Silvercreek, Woollen Mills, Wilcox and Upper Credit Conservation Areas will be closed until further notice due to dangerous trail conditions. Please obey all posted signage.
GENERAL TRAIL USE
This time if year it is common for trail or park closures due to high winds or severe or unsafe weather. If trail system are marked as closed, please respect and obey all posted signs. For park updates and closures due to weather and trail conditions, CVC’s corporate website at www.cvc.ca will display a red headline box at the top of all pages.
