CONDITIONS AT A GLANCE
|Island Lake Conservation Area||Ice access including fishing and skating is closed due to unsafe shorline conditions, updates will be posted Thursday afternoon. Trail use is open from 8am-6pm daily.|
|~ Lakeside Trail||The trail between 4th Avenue and the front gates is closed for construction Monday to Friday but open on the weekends. The rest of the trail is open, however snowy, icy or muddy in spots. Proceed with caution.|
|Terra Cotta Conservation Area||Park is open 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Skating trail and rink is CLOSED. Skiing and Snowshoeing CLOSED.|
|Belfountain Conservation Area||Closed until Spring 2018. Please see below for updates to our picnicking policy.|
|Ken Whillans Conservation Area||Closed until Spring 2018.|
Our winter hours have now begun, we are open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Ice access is now closed due to unsafe shorelines. Updates will be posted here Thursday afternoon. Trail remains open and access parking areas are listed here: www.creditvalleyca.ca/VBLT. Please note that the portion of the trail between 4th Avenue and the front gates is closed for construction. At this time you will have to retrace your steps back to the entrance you came in on.

ATTENTION: Park is open for hiking. Trails are snow covered with icy patches underneath; please proceed with CAUTION.
Winter hours: We are open daily from 8:00 am to 6:00pm. Weekday admission is payable at the self-serve station or display a valid membership on your dashboard.

Skating: Skating rink and Skating Trail is CLOSED
Long-Term Trail Closures: As of Thursday, January 25th, sections of Terra Cotta Lane and McGregor Spring Pond trail will be closed in preparation for some long term trail improvements. Please check posted maps at the gatehouse and Visitors Welcome Centre for daily updates.
Please obey all posted signage. Refer to our winter trail map for details and the best route for your activities.

Belfountain Conservation Area is closed until Spring 2018. Thank you for a great year!
PLEASE NOTE: A new picnic policy is being initiated at Belfountain Conservation Area. Day camping is no longer permitted and all 10 picnic tables now have a 30 minute maximum to ensure that all visitors have access to resting areas if needed. When planning your 2018 outings, we suggest visiting Island Lake CA or Terra Cotta CA if you are interested in picnicking for periods longer than 30 minutes.

This time if year it is common for trail or park closures due to high winds or severe weather. If trail system are marked as closed, please respect and obey all posted signs. For park updates and closures due to weather and trail conditions, CVCs corporate website at www.cvc.ca will display a red headline box at the top of all pages. You may also check back here for park conditions.
