Island Lake Conservation Area
  • Open Daily from 8:00AM – 6:00PM. Regular admission rates apply.
  • ICE FISHINGOPEN.  Open sections of the lake have approx. 9 inches of ice with rough surfaces.  Please obey all posted signs and only access ice from the  3 designated access points.
  • HEATED ICE HUTS are on the ice. Hut reservations are available online.
  • ICE FISHING DERBY ran Feb 8-17, 2020. Results available at https://cvc.ca/news/story/ice-fishing-derby-current-standings/
  • SKATING RINKS: OPEN but rough surface
  • SKATING TRAIL : CLOSED 
  • SNOWSHOE RENTALS: OPEN.

 ~  Lakeside Trail at Island Lake
  • OPEN with hard packed snow and icy sections.
  • TRAIL CONDITIONS:  Hard, packed snow with some icy sections
  • BRIDGE CLOSED on the trail section between the Rental Shop and the Amphitheatre due to construction.
  • 4th Avenue access parking: Please respect that Home Hardware is a private business and use only the 12 designated trail parking spaces generously provided. Trail users parking in undesignated parking spaces (the regular lot) will be towed at their own expense. Additional access and parking information can be found by clicking the Lakeside Trail link on the left.
Terra Cotta Conservation Area
  • Open Daily from 8:00AM – 6:00PM Regular admission rates apply.
  • SKI & SNOWSHOE RENTALS are currently available -please call the number listed on the Visitor Centre door for assistance.
  • TRAILS are icy and hard packed. Track setting will not be possible until there is fresh snow.
  • Terra Cotta Lane, McGregor Spring Pond Trail and Forest Meadow Loop are OPEN.
  • SKATING: CLOSED until conditions improve.  Please stay off the ice. Thanks
Belfountain Conservation Area
  • CLOSED for the season, no entry. Reopening April 2020.
Ken Whillans Resource Management Area
  • CLOSED for the season, no entry.  Reopening April 2020.
  • Caledon Trailway parking lot will remain open for trail use. No winter maintenance.
Cheltenham Badlands
  • CLOSED for the season, no entry.  Reopening May 2020.

Rattray Marsh Conservation Area
  • CONSTRUCTION PROJECT NOTICE: Access from Jack Darling park will be closed Monday, March 2 to Friday, March 20 due to Turtle Creek Bridge and boardwalk reconstruction. Please use alternate access at Bexhill Road during construction period. For details see construction notice.

  • GENERAL TRAIL USE: With more unpredictable weather it is common for trail or park closures due to high winds or severe or unsafe weather. If trail systems are marked as closed, please respect and obey all posted signs.
