CVC Announces Retirement of Chief Administrative Officer

The Board of Directors of Credit Valley Conservation Authority today announced that Chief Administrative Officer and Secretary/Treasurer Rae Horst will retire effective May 17, 2013.

“Rae has been General Manager and subsequently, Chief Administrative Officer of CVC since May 2001,“ said Pat Mullin, Chair of CVC.  “Under her management, CVC has grown to be the third largest conservation authority in the province.

“Rae has been a strong leader and formidable champion for the natural environment, building financial and human resources that have put significant environmental projects in the ground, laid a foundation for resilience to climate change, and increased outreach and education to all stakeholders of the Credit River watershed. We wish her every success in the future.”

The Board also announced it is immediately beginning the process of hiring a new Chief Administrative Officer and Secretary/Treasurer to succeed Ms. Horst.
