Credit Valley Conservation is one of Ontario’s 36 conservation authorities dedicated to protecting, restoring and enhancing our local natural environment. We care for the Credit River, its streams and tributaries from the headwaters in Orangeville to the shores of Lake Ontario in Mississauga. Summary of Functions
Reporting to the Senior Coordinator, Visitor Services, this position operates out of one of CVC’s Conservation Parks – Terra Cotta Conservation Area. This position works as part of a team to provide an excellent visitor experience while participating in the execution and delivery of Conservation Area special events, programming and daily operations. This position assists in the delivery of programming for the Maple Syrup in the Park and summer/fall recreation programs.
Eligibility Requirements

- Available to work most weekends and holidays.

Summary of Major Tasks
- Operating a point-of-sale system including online and in-person sales and payments.
- Providing visitors with detailed information about our Conservation Areas and surrounding areas from a recreational and educational perspective.
- Safe operation and inspection of office equipment at the park store and gatehouse.
- Answer calls and emails in order to answer inquiries and provide guidance for visitors.
- Correspond with staff and visitors via email, phone, text, or internal communication system.
- Collecting accurate data, including customer information and postal codes.
