Credit Valley Conservation is one of Ontario’s 36 conservation authorities dedicated to protecting, restoring and enhancing our local natural environment. We care for the Credit River, its streams and tributaries from the headwaters in Orangeville to the shores of Lake Ontario in Mississauga. Summary of Functions
Reporting to the Senior Coordinator, Conservation Parks, a Crew Member for Visitor Services works out of the gatehouse at Island Lake Conservation Area and Terra Cotta Conservation Area. Crew Members are an integral part of the Conservation Parks team to provide excellent customer service and administrative functions in the delivery of conservation area operations, programming and special events.
Eligibility Requirements

Summary of Major Tasks
- Providing visitors with detailed information about or Conservation Areas and surrounding areas from a recreational and educational perspective.
- Safe operation and inspection of office equipment at the park gatehouse.
- Answer a high volume of calls and emails in order to reserve facilities and equipment, answer inquiries, and provide guidance for visitors.
- Correspond with staff and visitors via email, phone, text, or internal communication system.
- Operating a point-of-sale system including online and in-person sales, reservations and payments.
- Collecting accurate data, including customer information and postal codes.
