Grassland Funding Programs

There are many funding opportunities available to landowners, farmers, businesses, and community groups in the watershed to help them enhance their property with native grasslands that benefit local wildlife and will also assist them with keeping more money in their pocket! CVC staff can help guide program participants through the application process.

CVC Landowner Action Fund (LAF)

The Landowner Action Fund is an environmental incentive program for rural landowners in the Credit River watershed. Eligible projects may receive grants of 65-100% of project costs.


Wellington Rural Water Quality Program

Provides funding to eligible projects that help farms in Wellington Region improve local water quality.


Peel Rural Water Quality Program

Provides funding to eligible projects in that help farms in Peel Region improve local water quality.


Grassland Habitat Farm Incentive Program

The Grassland Habitat farm Incentive Program provides funding to projects that will strengthen farm operations while supporting grassland birds.


Land Stewardship and Habitat Restoration Program

Businesses, municipal governments, non-government organizations, conservation organizations, or Aboriginal communities may receive up to $20,000 in matching funds for eligible projects.


Species at Risk Farm Incentive Program

Receive funding for eligible projects on your farm that benefit species at risk in Ontario.


Ontario Power Generation Regional Biodiversity Program

Provides funding for eligible projects that protect and restore key habitats or linkages between them.
