Property Severances

Rural property site visit with a landowner

Tree Preservation & Compensation Plans

Are you severing part of your land?

We can prepare a tree preservation and compensation plan to help you meet county guidelines for rural lot severances. We will conduct a site visit and forest inventory of the land to be severed and compile an in-depth report to be submitted to the county detailing:

  • The background details of the property including any previous tree planting or habitat creation projects
  • A current inventory of the tree species found within the property listing the relative abundance, density, size, and health of each species
  • An assessment of the potential lot severance impacts on existing forest cover and recommendations for mitigating those impacts
