DESCRIPTION:Help Keep the Rain Garden Healthy and Thriving!\n\n\n\nJoin us to support keeping the rain garden healthy and thriving! Participants will help remove weeds and invasive plants to give native wildflowers and trees the space they need to grow. Maintenance of this garden supports pollinators\, protects local wildlife\, and helps the rain garden manage stormwater naturally. Tools\, gloves\, and guidance will be provided. \n\n\n\nHelp make the Fletchers Creek SNAP neighbourhood more sustainable and ready for a changing climate. This event is part of Fletchers Creek Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan (SNAP). \n\n\n\nLocation:\n\n\n\nMeet us at Glendale Public School. Parking is available at the school. \n\n\n\nWhat to Wear and Bring:\n\n\n\n\nFor your safety\, wear a hat\, long pants\, long socks and closed-toe shoes.\n\n\n\nThis is a rain-or-shine event. Please dress for the weather.\n\n\n\nYour own reusable water bottle (we have water to refill from).\n\n\n\nSunscreen and bug spray.\n\n\n\nWaiver (if required\, see details below).\n\n\n\n\nAdditional Information:\n\n\n\n\nArrive on time.\n\n\n\nRegistration is recommended.\n\n\n\nWashroom amenities will be available.\n\n\n\nParticipants collecting volunteer hours\, please notify staff at the event and bring any required sheets.\n\n\n\nVolunteers 13 years or under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.\n\n\n\nVolunteers ages 14 to 17 attending without a parent or guardian must bring a signed Youth Volunteer Waiver or have a parent or guardian sign one at registration prior to leaving.\n\n\n\nVolunteers 18 years and older\, please read the Adult Volunteer Waiver.\n\n\n\n\nThis event is subject to change or cancellation due to inclement weather.
