Pursuant to Ontario Regulation 139/96 (as amended by O.R. 106/98), notice is hereby given that Credit Valley Conservation Authority (CVCA) will be considering its 2021 budget, including municipal levy, at the CVCA Board of Directors meeting at 9:15 a.m., February 19, 2021. Due to COVID-19, CVC Board of Directors meetings will be held virtually until further notice. Members of the public may participate in the meeting by emailing tamara.chipperfield@cvc.ca no later than 10:00a.m. on the Thursday prior to a Board meeting.
In accordance with the “AMO/ACAO Protocol Pertaining to Non‐Matching Municipal Funding of Watershed Programs”, all watershed municipalities have been provided with notice of the meeting. Municipalities have been advised that they may wish to direct their appointed representative as to how they should vote with respect to non‐matching levy. The weighted voting procedure required under Regulation 139/96 provides that each member votes in proportion to their municipality’s share of the current value assessment, as modified.
The CVCA proposed 2021 gross budget totals $35,977,875.
