Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) invites landowners to the Tree Planting and Habitat Restoration Services Showcase on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Terra Cotta Conservation Area, Halton Hills.

Rural landowners have a critical role to play in keeping natural features such as forests, wetlands and streams healthy on their properties. CVC can help.

“We offer a suite of subsidized restoration services that help landowners help nature,” said Mike Puddister, Deputy CAO and Director of Watershed Transformation at CVC. “Our knowledgeable staff create customized plans for your property, based on your goals and the needs of the local environment. And we’ll do the work for you.”

At the Tree Planting and Habitat Restoration Services Showcase, CVC staff will share examples of environmental restoration projects and how CVC can help you:
• plant trees and manage forests
• save property taxes through the Managed Forest Tax Incentive Program
• control invasive plants
• improve wetlands and streams
• restore grasslands
• install habitat structures
• access project funding

Space is limited so register by February 28 at www.cvc.ca/events. For more information contact Alison Qua-Enoo at 905-670-1615 ext. 438 or alison.qua-enoo@cvc.ca.

Workshops are free thanks to funding from CVC’s regional and municipal partners.

Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) is a local conservation authority established by the Ontario government in 1954 to protect, restore and enhance the natural environment of the Credit River watershed. That watershed is the area of land where all rainfall, snowmelt and runoff drain into lands and waters flowing into the Credit River. CVC creates connections between people and nature, knowledge and action. It inspires a deep appreciation for the role of nature in keeping people connected, healthy and happy. CVC is a member of Conservation Ontario.
