For Immediate Release
Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011 –Community-based environmental groups are invited to participate in the third annual Sharing Experiences Workshop, organized by Credit Valley Conservation (CVC), as well as other local conservation authorities and stewardship councils.
This free one-day workshop, which be held on April 9 in Hamilton, gives community-based environmental groups the opportunity to learn from each other. The theme of this year’s workshop is “building capacity”.
Workshop organizers have issued an invitation to groups or individuals who are interested in presenting. The organizing committee is working to ensure different topics are selected from year to year. Some topics from previous years have been: marketing and communications, engaging youth, habitat rehabilitation and volunteer management. Please submit a brief description of your presentation and how it will help other groups deliver their programs.
For more information, submit topic ideas or express interest in presenting, please contact Jaime Overy before Jan. 21 at 905-525-2181, ext. 165, or [email protected]. Please indicate if you will be attending, or presenting, and provide a list of topics to be considered for the agenda.
