Tuesday, May 24, 2011 – Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) offers “Caring for Your Land and Water” a free workshop for landowners in the Credit River Watershed on Wednesday, June 1, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Terra Cotta Conservation Area, Watershed Learning Centre. A barbecue dinner and registration start at 5:30 p.m. The workshop will present tools for proactively managing rural properties and protecting water quality. At the workshop, participants will learn how to assess, manage, and protect their:
- Wetlands, streams, and ponds
- Trees, forests, and meadows
- Septic systems and well water
Everyone who takes part in the workshop will receive:
- Aerial photos and maps of their property
- Your Guide to Caring for the Credit: A Resource Guide for Managing Rural Properties
- Homeowner stewardship kit
