Low Impact Development in Action – Oct. 4 & 5, 2012

Low Impact Development (LID) in Action is a two-day conference showcasing innovative stormwater management LID practices in Ontario and across Canada. Conference participants will learn the latest in LID design, construction, operation and maintenance through classroom sessions,  site tours and by networking with leaders from municipal, development and construction sectors. The conference will provide participants with excellent opportunities to share lessons learned and gain tools and techniques to deliver LID projects reliably, cost effectively and with community support.

Day One – October 4th, 2012

Speakers will present on the necessity and abundant value – economic, ecological and social – of green stormwater decision-making and implementation in public and private sectors. Day Two – October 5th, 2012

Build upon the knowledge and tools gained from Day One. Participate in a full day field tour showcasing LID sites in and around the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Or take part in a day-long training session focused on LID. Find out more about day two of the Low Impact Development in Action Workshop.
