Take Sustainability Outside

Thursday, October 31, 2019

8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Credit Valley Conservation , Mississauga (View Map)

Join Greening Corporate Grounds (GCG) and the Mississauga Board of Trade (MBOT) for an exclusive event that will help Mississauga business leaders turn their sustainability commitments into on-the-ground action.

Participants will learn how sustainable landscaping and green infrastructure can help businesses

  • Reduce their conventional property maintenance fees,
  • Manage stormwater on their properties,
  • Qualify for Mississauga’s stormwater credit, and
  • Create aesthetically appealing corporate landscapes that contribute to the health and well-being of their employees and their community.

As part of the workshop, participants will receive

  • Free enrollment in the GCG program
  • A Sustainable Corporate Landscaping Package including an aerial of your property, native plant guides, and a property vision document to help guide you through the planning exercise.
  • Up to $5,000 worth of sustainable landscaping design services that will help you turn your vision into a reality after you leave the workshop.
  • One free corporate planting event for up to 50 people ($750 value, materials not included)

During the workshop you will have direct access to CVC’s landscaping design experts. You will leave with a greater understanding of the actions you can take now and high-level custom sustainable landscaping recommendations for your property.

See the full agenda for the workshop below.

Space is limited. Only 15 businesses will be selected to participate. Preference will be given to MBOT members. Businesses must be located within the Credit River Watershed and should demonstrate a commitment to taking action on their properties. Check to see if your property is in the watershed here:

Businesses interested in participating but unable to attend this event can still enroll in the GCG program. Visit for more details or contact Deborah Kenley to arrange a free consultation: or 905-670-1615 ext. 439.
