The National Green Infrastructure Certification Program (NGICP) provides the base-level skill set needed for entry-level workers to properly construct, inspect and maintain green stormwater infrastructure (GI). It is designed to meet international best practice standards and intended to establish a properly-trained workforce.
The benefits of becoming certified by the NGICP include:
- Expansion of your skills and knowledge of building, inspecting and maintaining GI systems
- Greater awareness of GI career opportunities
- Proof of your commitment to supporting sustainable performance of GI practices
- Exposure to employers looking to hire skilled GI workers through the NGICP Certification Database
The implementation of the NGICP is governed by Bylaws and a Policy and Procedures Manual. To learn more about the NGICP, please visit www.ngicp.org.
