Sunset Yin Yoga

Sunday, May 27, 2018 - Sunday, October 21, 2018
Every Sunday
6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Watershed Learning Centre at Terra Cotta Conservation Area, Terra Cotta (View Map)

Join certified yoga teacher Melissa Ward for a Yin yoga flow as the sun goes down in Terra Cotta. Connect with nature, relax, restore and prepare for the week ahead. We will practice every Sunday indoors at the beautiful Watershed Learning Centre situated in the trees (follow signage near the entrance/parking lot) unless the weather and bug situation is ideal for outdoor practice.

Please bring with you:

  • A yoga mat
  • Water bottle
  • Comfortable clothing
  • A sweater or blanket
  • Citronella or any chemical-free bug repellent if we practice outside
  • Tickets or proof of payment upon entry

About Yin:
Yin yoga is a slower, more relaxed style of yoga that aims to release fascia and deepen flexibility while also cultivating a sense of oneself. In more active styles of yoga, much of what we do is very yang, practicing high energy postures, building strength, setting goals and paying meticulous attention to our form. But in Yin we have a chance to close our eyes and connect. Listen. Finding stillness and ease, allowing the body to melt into each posture and meditating on emotions that come up make Yin a powerful practice that benefits us long after class is over. All levels welcome!
