Our ‘Friends of the Credit’ Conservation Awards program recently had a makeover!  After more than 30 years of awards history, it was time to update our program to match CVC’s current vision.

The Conservation Awards honour important work being done in our community by people who love the environment as much as we do. These contributions are making a significant and positive impact on the health of the Credit River Watershed.

Do you know a local school, community group, landowner, business or individual that goes above and beyond to inspire change and protect nature for future generations? Nominate them in one of eight new categories:

  • Youth Achievement
  • Outstanding Volunteer
  • Environmental Awareness
  • Landowner Stewardship
  • Corporate Leadership
  • Green Cities
  • Legacy Donor
  • Watershed Excellence

The nomination process is open until February 26, 2018 and submissions can be completed online. The CVC Board of Directors reviews all nominations and makes the final award selection.

  1. Please can I find out more about the award. I am a high school teacher and our school has a phenomenal eco-team Green Scene. Extremely active with a butterfly garden, roof top garden, and green house. They do so many things each year and have achieved platinum status for the last 4 years on Ontario ecoschools program
