Between now and August tenth you can help promote environmental education in your community by voting online for the Conservation Youth Corps (CYC) in the Shell FuellingChange™ program. In celebration of the long weekend, Shell Canada has issued a special bonus code worth 50 bonus votes in its online environmental challenge.

If you’d like to help:

CYC is in the running for a $100,000 grant through the Shell FuellingChange™ program. CYC is a youth volunteer program offering a hands-on environmental stewardship experience for future environmental leaders in the Credit River Watershed and surrounding areas. The program is offered by Credit Valley Conservation and funded in part by Credit Valley Conservation Foundation.

Credit Valley Conservation Foundation received a $50,000 grant in last year’s Shell FuellingChange™ program. The grant will go towards enhancing the trail system at Island Lake Conservation Area.

The FuellingChange™ program allows Canadians to vote on environmental programs that help improve, protect and restore air, land and water. Programs with the highest number of votes in each grant category are issued a grant from Shell Canada ranging from $25,000 to $100,000.
