The recent ice storm looks to be the last blast of winter weather and temperatures are finally starting to warm up. With winter in the rear-view mirror, it’s time to start planning our spring adventures. Spending time outside is a great way to connect with nature and a welcome break from our hectic schedules.
Spring offers new opportunities to relive great memories and make new ones with family and friends. Most of our parks open for the season this Saturday, April 28. Belfountain Conservation Area opens one week later, on Saturday May 5.
Take a trip to one of our parks for a hike on a trail or a picnic by the lake. Savour the warm sun, the sound of songbirds and the joy you feel in nature. Did you know that spending even a short time in nature can improve your mood and lower stress and anxiety? That must be why our parks staff are always so happy!
